Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-30
This Privacy Policy explains what Praxis (“Praxis”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and your choices. Praxis is a movement-analysis tool operated by Miyamoto Process & Performance Consulting OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, which is the data controller for your personal data. Contact: support@praxisapp.fit.
Praxis is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide return-to-play or clinical clearance. See our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password. Your role (athlete, coach, clinician, general) and chosen language.
- Profile information you provide — such as height, body mass, sport, training experience, goals, and (optionally) injury notes you enter. Coaches/clinicians may add client/patient profiles they manage.
- Movement recordings and derived data — video clips you choose to analyze, the on-device pose data extracted from them, selected key frames, and the computed metrics (e.g. range of motion, jump height, ground-contact and flight time, symmetry, tempo) and the coaching text generated for a session.
- Audio — recorded clips include their audio track when uploaded.
- Technical data — basic request metadata needed to operate the service (e.g. timestamps). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How your data is processed
- On your device — pose tracking runs locally on your phone. Face-blurring, when enabled, is applied on device.
- Our backend (api.praxisapp.fit) — when you sign in and sync, your account, profile, sessions, and uploaded media/pose/key frames are stored so you can access them on the web and across devices.
- Automated analysis (Anthropic, via our proxy) — to generate coaching, a summary of your movement metrics plus a limited set of key frames are sent through our Cloudflare proxy to Anthropic’s Claude service. This data is processed to return the analysis; it is not used to serve you ads.
Why we process it (purposes)
- To provide the core service: analyze your movement and return metrics and coaching.
- To keep your history and let you compare sessions over time.
- To operate your account (sign-in, sync, support) and keep the service secure.
Health & fitness data
Movement and fitness information is used only to provide app functionality (your analysis and history). It is not used for tracking and is not sold.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that operate the product on our behalf — our hosting/backend provider and Anthropic (for automated analysis) — under agreements limiting their use to providing the service. If you are a client/patient added by a coach or clinician, sessions you record under that relationship are visible to that practitioner.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete Account), which removes your account and associated cloud data (sessions, uploaded media, client records). You may also request deletion by contacting us.
Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes; access tokens are held in the device keychain; traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Children
Praxis is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Praxis, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 as account holders. If we learn that an under-13 user has created an account, we will delete it.
Praxis can also be used to analyze the movement of others, including minors (for example, a coach or parent recording a young athlete). If you upload footage of a minor, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you have the guardian’s consent, to record them and to have the footage and derived movement data processed for analysis, as described in our Terms. We provide on-device face-blurring, which we recommend when footage includes minors, and you can delete uploaded content at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
EEA/UK (GDPR). The data controller is Miyamoto Process & Performance Consulting OÜ (Estonia). We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), on the basis of your consent where you provide optional information or upload footage of others, and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Estonia, the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee).
California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or “share” your personal information and do not process it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request access or deletion, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact support@praxisapp.fit.
International transfers
Praxis is operated from the EU and our servers are hosted in the EU. To generate coaching, a limited summary of your movement metrics and selected key frames are sent to Anthropic (Claude), which processes them in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
